- yes my dear, u r exactly on the right point. excess of anything is bad and it hurts people as well. cricket as you know in india, is excessively "worshipped" and it is too bad that atleast some people are so crazy about it. also it is a means of earning money through so many "other" means. hence it is bad.
- Excess of anything can be destructive. If these players who would be playing future indian tours drain out in these IPL match itself or gets severely injured, it is surely going to effect the performance of players. BCCI should take a concern and make necessary relaxation sessions for them to be mentally strong on international matches.
- 2 IPLs an year will be excess, one IPL an year is ok
- me too agree with you not only it will effect health and
famiely but also the performance of players in International
matches due injury and lack of fitness .
- Probably in India, but I think most other countries keep it in moderation, as it isn't a big money earner, we have many other sports.I don't know, don't golfers & tennis players play all year round? It doesn't seem to affect their health, but I would think their families wouldn't be so happy about it.
- yes excess of everything is not good for health. but it keeps the player fit and healthy.
- India is a country of extremes. lot of people, lot of poverty, lot of corruption, lot of sex crimes, lot of politicians, lot of cows, lot of heat, lot of religions, lot of dirtiness, lot of bollywood, lot of hero-worshiping, lot of dalit mandals, lot of Islam so on and so forth But cricket is only second to sex in India. If India ban cricket for ten years, the country will surpass USA in progress. Not only that but thousands and thousands of windows will be saved, truancy in schools will be cut, bollywood actors and actresses will go back to making good movies, Preety Zina will have more time to find a better boyfriend. T20 is a curse.
- Excess of anything is a POISON. This IPL 44 days of CRICKETITIS no other country can tolerate!! Find out the productivity of this period in any sector besides Cricket, I am sure way DOWN in India..
Mera Bharat Mahan..
- I fully agree with you. Too much cricket will defenitely have adverse effect on the fitness of players.Take the case of Sachin Tendulkar for example. He did not play few games in IPL because of injury he sustained during the series in Australia. He again started playing in IPL and it has now been reported that he will not be fit for the upcoming tri-series in Bangladesh and also for Asia cup. If he had not played in IPL,he would have been fully fit before the tri series and Asia cup.
- no i don't think its not obligatory on u that u hve to watch...........its ur wish when ever u like to watch u can..............no body is going to force u............
- I agree with Len anders opinion....
Too much not good ....sachin forced himself to be available for IPL ...but his health has worsened now...
ALl players require 2 months of rest ......BCCI is behind money
- Excess is a very relative term. In England they have horse racing through out the year. Football from August to May. Day in day out. Actually IPL cricket is not in excess at all. The choice is yours. IPL is very seductive. Everyone loves it. People make time for it. How can it be bad? It will soon be over and some of us like me will feel very bored and then just like the intensity of the game the boredom will soon disappear and we all back to square one.
